‘Kokedama’ (Japanese translation “mossball”) is the practice of placing a plant into a ball of soil mixture held together with moss and string. Kokedama are a low maintenance, long lasting decorative piece and are a unique way of displaying a plant as an alternative to a potted plant. Kokedama make a lovely living gift for any home or office. Kokedama are suitable for indoors or outdoors depending on the plant used.
My name is Jacqui and I am “kokedama.by.jac”. I started making kokedama in 2015 and by April 2016 my little backyard hobby made its public debut via social media. Social media platforms for @kokedama.by.jac include Instagram & Facebook.
I welcome custom orders from clients, attend various events including markets and offer personalised DIY starter kits. I collaborate with various local venues coordinating kokedama workshops.
