The event showcases everything green from urban and organic gardening, sustainable living and botanical ‘must-haves’. We aim to take you on an educational journey of gardening, sustainability & home decor.

The large selection of plants include, but is not limited to frangipanis, geraniums, bromeliads, airplants, natives, succulents, rainforest, staghorns and herbs. Mr Fothergill’s Kids Hub, hosted by Natura Education >
Kids will be entertained with plenty of nature based creative activities at the ‘Mr Fothergill’s Kids Hub’, hosted by Natura Education. On the day, kids can make their own nature crafts, walk inside a butterfly enclousure, see baby animals, learn about recycling and composting. Kids will also get a visit from the King of the Compost ‘Costa’ from ABC Gardening Australia. Purchase kids tickets online to receive a FREE take home from Mr Fothergill’s Seeds and Bulbs.
View live snake presentations to learn about snake saftey or get up close to inspect Native and European (including Flow Hive) Bees and listen to one of the Bee presentations. Chat with Bird-Life Australia and learn how to attract more birds to your backyard or visit the animal nursery. If you want to know more about worms or butterflies, we have that covered too!
Botanical Must Haves & Homewares
If you enjoy getting active in the garden there are gardening products and tools to meet your needs. Maybe you want your house and lifetyle to feel like a Jungalow? If so, there will be botanical homewares, beauty, health and decor items. View original works of art; including botanical images, outdoor garden sculptures, mixed media and floral design.
Local gardening groups passionate about their individual areas of interest will be onsite to answer any of your gardening questions. This includes, but is not limited to The Gold Coast Rose Society, Gold Coast City Council Weed Control & Identification, Aquaponics, Wicking Beds and Hydroponics specialists. The Nerang Community Gardens will also open their gates for public viewing, teachings and interaction.

We have all your drinks, snacks and lunch covered. If you are looking to enjoy a relaxing tea or coffee there will be a variety of food and drink offering. Enjoy the delicious delights under the big fig tree in a grassy parkland. The perfect way to relax with the family on Fathers Day.
Thanks to Burleigh Brewing, Ink Gink and Sirromet Wines we have a great selection of drinks available for the over 18’s. Ink Gin uses curious colour changing properties of an exotic flowering legume known as the Buttterfly Pea (Clitoria ternatea) to infuse the drink with botanicals including native Australian bush tucker. Add an edible flower with that and you have the perfect botanical cocktail! All enjoyed whilst listening to live tunes by Mattie Barker, Mick McHugh or Kenny Slide.
