This year’s kids hub features jam packed activities for the kids to enjoy and get messy! There is also a fabulous educational component to all the activities to help your little ones learn about caring for our beautiful environment.
We are also lucky to have ‘Costa the Garden Gnome’ aka, Costa Georgiadis visit the Kids Hub at 1.15pm to inspire kids to love nature and get grubby!
From Nature Craft activities, fairy houses displays, Pony Rides, baby animal farm, Henna painting and flower crown making, there will be something there for all ages to enjoy.
Not for profit educational groups will also have interactive displays within this area to help make learning about nature fun! Groups include:
Ocean Connect, who aim to connect the community to our coastal and marine environment through outreach, citizen science and education.
Gecko Environment Council who aims to actively promote, conserve and restore the natural environment and improve the sustainability of the built environment of the Gold Coast region in partnership with our member groups and the wider community. Gecko focuses on environmental education for children and adults alike,as well as campaigning for environmental protection and preservation.
Gold Coast Catchment Association who help the community to help the environment through events, citizen science, community support and project management! They support over 50 local community groups and believe that by harnessing the positive force of community involvement in hands-on work that we can make a huge difference.
