Kitchen Garden Competition – Entries Closed

Take the kitchen to the garden with this year’s Botanical Bazaar competition for festival goers!

We invite you to throw on your Botanical Chef hat and green up an everyday kitchen appliance by transforming it into a garden sensation.  Repurpose your utensils and plant inside or on top of an old appliance such as an old toaster, soup ladle, kettle or whatever tickles your frangipani!

Bring your Kitchen Garden Appliance to Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang on Saturday August 3rd between 2pm-4pm.

Creations will be placed on display at Botanical Bazaar garden festival, and a closed judging panel will vote on the entries. The winners will be decided by 7pm that night, with winners notified via SMS and announced at Botanical Bazaar.

There are 3 prizes to be won:

1. Best Garden Gadget – $70 cash to be spent at festival
2. Encouragement Award – $50 cash to be spent at festival
3. Wooden Spoon Award- $30 cash to be spent at festival

All entries receive 1 free adult ticket to Botanical Bazaar (collected at time of submission delivery). Prize vouchers can be redeemed at Botanical Bazaar.

  • 🌿Botanical Bazaar 2020 Cancelled 🌿

This week our committee made the very difficult decision to cancel Botanical Bazaar for 2020.

Over the last few months we have been continually mindful of the developing conditions and the impact that this may have on our event, our exhibitors and participants.

Unfortunately the announcement by Queensland’s Premier earlier this week that the border would remain closed for months rather than weeks severely limits our ability to stage a quality event.

With several of our key note speakers and many of our exhibitors coming from interstate, attendance limited to meet Covid-19 Event Guidelines and the possibility of further restrictions in the lead up to the event, the risk was too great.

Gold Coast Rotary is committed to growing this event and making it bigger and better in 2021. The several hundred hours of planning and pre-event expenditures has not been wasted as our organising committee has learnt a great deal and forged a team ready and willing to stage Botanical Bazaar 2021.

Mark your diaries for the weekend of 1st August 2021.
Please be patient as we process refunds for early bird ticket holders, exhibitors and food vendors.

Thank you for your support 🙏🏻 We hope you stay safe and healthy.
